What We Do
We specialise in starting horses, with a focus on building a solid foundation from the outset. Horses are given time to settle and understand their work, with a calm and consistent approach from the start. We work primarily with thoroughbreds and polo-bred horses, establishing a foundation that carries through into any discipline.
The aim is to produce horses that are settled, willing, and straightforward, ready to move on into their next stage. Alongside breaking, we also take horses for rest and recuperation, those coming back into work, and horses needing time spent revisiting the basics. We work closely with owners and trainers, with the focus always on what works best for each horse.
Set in a quiet part of North Dorset, the environment and our extensive facilities play an important role. With acres of hacking and varied surroundings, horses benefit from a change of scene alongside their early training. The result is a well-rounded start, with horses that leave confident, relaxed, and ready to move on into the next stage of their work.
